Matt 7:21
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many of us know what the term “generic” means.  Webster defines the word generic as “without a brand name.”   Remember that definition because we will get back to it later.

Many of us have gotten accustomed to generic items because it costs less than the name brand, and we believe for the most part, the product is just as good.  When it comes to medicines, unless you are on a prescription plan that covers the cost of your medicine, many people request the generic.  We oftentimes rest assured that the generic is just as effective as the brand name because it has the same active ingredients and we think that the USDA would not allow it to be sold if there is a flaw in the medication or if it wasn’t effective.

If you look at the label on any store brand (generic) medicines or products, you will read on the label to compare this product with such and such brand name medicine or product.  THEN IT WILL HAVE AN ASTERISK (*) BESIDE THAT STATEMENT.  Many of you have never read the statement that the asterisk is referring to.  Let me just paraphrase it to you.  It may not make any difference to many of you concerning buying the generic medicines, but it does make a difference concerning your salvation.  Paraphrasing the reference, it says, “THIS PRODUCT is not made BY THE MAKER...

Don't Leave My Body In A Strange Land

Gen 50:24-26
24 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.
26 So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.

Joseph had a tremendous faith in God’s promises.  When Joseph was brought before the pharaoh, he was 30 years old.  It was then that the 7 years of plenty began.  After the 7 years of plenty, there were 2 years of famine before rest of Israel came into Egypt.  Genesis chapter 50 tells us that Joseph lived to be 110 years old.  30 + 7 + 2 = 39.  110 – 39 = 71 years that Joseph lived after Israel came into Egypt.  And it was 66 years that he lived after the famine ended.  The children of Israel, according to Exodus chapter 12, sojourned in Egypt for 430 years.  So Joseph lived 71 of those years.  And that means that for 359 years, his body laid around waiting for Israel to journey back into the Promise Land.  Just to put that into perspective, does anyone know who was president of the United States 359 years ago?     (Click Below to Continue Reading...

They Shall Call His Name Emmanuel

Isaiah 7:14
14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

In this passage of scripture, Isaiah is writing over 700 years before Jesus is even conceived, at a time when his country, the nation of Judah, is being attacked by two other nations, Syria and Ephraim.  Through Isaiah, God makes a promise to Judah to deliver them from their enemies, and he even offers to give the king of Judah a sign, any sign, no matter how big, to prove it.  When King Ahaz refused to ask God for a sign, God was not happy with his response and told him He would give him a sign anyways.  What is that sign?  “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.  Now, Isaiah continues in verse 16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

Within three years of this prophecy, their enemies were routed by the Assyrian army.  But was the prophecy fulfilled?         Continued...Click "Read More" Below...

God May Have To Shake Your World

Acts chapter 16, verses 25 & 26 tells us this story: And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.  And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

I have always heard this passage of scripture used to talk about how powerful praise and worship can be.  After all, Paul and Silas were loosed from prison because of the earthquake that came when they praised.  The Lord gave me a thought the other day that I have never heard presented before.  Of course, we all know that prisons 2000 years ago did not have the same architectural structure as prisons today.  Even overlooking the filth from not having modern sanitation, with the current earthquakes happening around the world, can you even begin to imagine what these two disciples were actually experiencing?  The Bible described this as a "great earthquake."  It goes on to tell us that the very "foundations of the prison were shaken."  They were probably sitting on the floor bound by chains...        Continued... click "Read More" below...
